Spring COVID‑19 & RSV Vaccinations – Starting 13 April 2026

The NHS Spring vaccination campaign begins on 13 April 2026. Eligible patients will soon be invited to book their vaccinations.

Who Can Get the Spring COVID‑19 Vaccine?

You are eligible if you are:

• Aged 75 or over (or turning 75 before 30 June 2026)

• Living in a care home for older adults

• Aged 5–74 and immunosuppressed (as defined in NHS guidance)

Please note: We are not vaccinating under‑18s at the surgery. Eligible children will need to attend a local participating pharmacy.

Who Can Get the RSV Vaccine? (From 1 April 2026)

You are eligible if you are:

• Aged 80 and over

• Aged 75–79 and have not previously received an RSV vaccine

• A resident in a care home for older adults

The RSV vaccine is a one‑off and does not require an annual booster.

Planned Clinics

Combined COVID + RSV clinics will run every Monday and Wednesday morning throughout April, starting 13 April 2026. These are for patients receiving both vaccines at the same visit.

COVID‑only clinic: Saturday 25 April 2026 (no RSV vaccines will be given).

• If you prefer the vaccines separately, RSV‑only appointments will be available with the nursing team, and COVID‑only appointments should be booked into the 25 April clinic.

How to Book

All eligible patients will soon be sent a text message/NHS App notification with a direct booking link to choose an appointment slot.

Please try the link before calling the surgery, as this helps keep phonelines free for urgent medical queries.

Patients without a mobile number on record will be contacted directly and offered an appointment.

Care Home & Housebound Patients

Care home residents and eligible housebound patients will be vaccinated from 13th April 2026. You will be contacted directly with your appointment details.
