Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the Practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. When you telephone, or come into the surgery you may be asked a short series of questions by our receptionists. This information will be passed on to our Navigation Team who will be able to navigate your request to the right clinician at the right time.  There are a number of different healthcare options available to patients. The information that you provide to our reception team allows them to ensure that the right person can help you and helps the practice to sort patients based on their needs.

Navigation Team

Our Navigation Team triage all GP appointment requests. Triaging is essential when you may be dealing with hundreds of patients a day, all with different needs, requests and health backgrounds. With over 10,000 patients to look after, it is essential to triage and sort each patient to the right type of care. It might seem convenient to book an appointment with a GP for when you have time, but if an appointment is not the right care for you, then it is not a good use of your or the doctor’s time.

Secretaries

Our Medical Secretaries deal with all referral letters. If you have a query regarding a referral, please ask to speak to one of the secretaries.
